Green is as Green Does!
We all know the routine when we approach the grocery store checker. Paper or plastic? Why don't they say a tree or oil?
Plastic bags are so cheap to produce, sturdy, plentiful, easy to carry and store BUT ...
They remain balled up and stuffed into the one that hangs from the pantry door. They line bathroom garbage cans. They carry dirty gym clothes. They clutter landfills. They flap from trees. They float in the breeze. They clog roadside drains. They drift on the high seas. They fill sea turtle bellies.
Paper bags are not the alternative for our planet or Global Warming even if they are recycled, energy is used to produce them, and trees are felled.
We must use re-useable totes and we need a simple way to make them a part of our routine.
